Have you often wondered who delivers your Amazon packages? Well, if it is not the Post Office, then it is an Amazon Flex driver. Delivery drivers are independent contractors who download the Amazon Flex app on their phones to register. Here’s the link, https://flex.amazon.com/. Bear in mind that not all locations in the US need drivers so you may not get access right away when you download the app. (Things may also have changed since I signed up a year ago and I’m sure more cities have been added). Once you do that, the app will instruct you on what to do next. You, of course, have to produce a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, SSN#, and other pertinent information. Amazon will do a background check which takes around two to five business days. Once you are approved, you will have to watch several short videos on their procedures. Once that is concluded will you get offers in the app of locations and times (called blocks) you pick up packages and make deliveries. The best part is they pay $18-$25/hr and up! The offers will come in your throughout the day so you select where you want to pick up.

I have done this on occasion and it’s cool. Once you arrive at the warehouse, you will check in and the attendants will give you a rack of packages to scan and load in your car. Once you’re done scanning and loading, you start delivering.

The app will talk to you just like Google Maps to direct you to your destinations.

Amazon pays via direct deposit on Tuesdays and Fridays. Obviously the more you deliver, the more you can make.  Work whenever you want. May be the perfect way to earn extra money for the holidays and buy those last minute gifts.
